Wild Med Adventures is joining forces with Phoenix Expedition Medicine to combine continuing medical education (CME) with a unique wildlife safari and practical off-road skills course in Kenya. Our vehicle based African camping expedition and community conservation medicine course is truly an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

The course will be run jointly by highly experienced expedition doctors: Dr. Patrick Avery (portfolio GP and RCPSG teaching faculty member) and Ben Mattingly, MD, FAWM. Patrick will also be in charge of all on the ground logistics and will be lead/guide the trip. In addition Kieran Avery (a veterinarian working in conservation for Northern Rangelands Trust in Northern Kenya) will work alongside Patrick as a professional guide and 4x4 instructor on the trip. Dr Sean Avery PhD (a hydrologist and lifelong resident of East Africa with huge experience in vehicle based expeditions, mechanics, and off road driving) will also be involved in instruction. The Avery family are from Kenya and they know these areas intimately from a lifetime of safaris. All have an extensive and passionate knowledge of the country, its people, and its wildlife.

They are 10 times top-three finishers on the world famous Rhino Charge off road driving event.
