Matt Razon ATC, PA-C, FAWM
Matt Razon, ATC, PA-C, FAWM is a physician assistant who has worked with Wild Med Adventures for over 10 years. He spent the first 24 years of his career in Emergency Medicine and has since transitioned to part-time Urgent Care. He also spent 6 years working in orthopedic trauma at Baystate Medical Center, a Level I trauma center in Springfield, MA.
Matt has a passion for teaching, coordinating conferences, and lecturing, and previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Springfield College. He continues to pursue his love for education by lecturing both locally and nationally, most recently at the Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine Conference.
Within Wild Med Adventures, Matt has been an instructor on the Mountain Medicine course in Africa, where he also successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro in 2025. He has taught on many of our fishing and hunting expeditions ranging from the Amazon to Alaska, and has also instructed on numerous AWLS (Advanced Wilderness Life Support) courses.
He currently lives in northwest Connecticut and has a love for the outdoors, including fly fishing, hiking, and riding his motorcycle. In addition, he enjoys international healthcare work and has spent time in Haiti donating his services.
Matt is AWLS certified and a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM). He is always excited to share his passion for the outdoors and his medical knowledge with others.
