MARTHA M., MS, EMT-I, PA-C

Martha is an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant working in Western Massachusetts with a strong passion for the outdoors and adventure. Along with becoming certified in AWLS in 2014, she was an apprentice instructor for the AWLS course that was held in Mexico in November of 2014. In the last several years she has been able to make trips to Honduras, Costa Rica, Curaçao, Guatemala, Mexico, Ghana, Uganda, and Peru. 

In 2014 she hiked the tallest peak in Central America (Volcán Tajamulco) and the 3rd tallest peak in North America (Pico de Orizaba - 18,491ft), and in February 2018 she was an instructor for Wild Med Adventures' Africa CME course and summited Kilimanjaro. Along with wilderness medicine she has an interest in volunteering at rural medical clinics internationally and has a wealth of knowledge regarding global health. Back at home she has been actively involved in Baystate WildMed Interest group and spends as much time outdoors as she can hiking and exploring.
