JOSH HARRIS, MD

Josh’s first foray into wilderness medicine began in college, with his first ever medical certification being a wilderness first responder. This led into leading a wilderness medicine interest group in medical school. After graduation, his life philosophy has been "be outside every day." He practices a host of outdoor activities, with the main ones being mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, trail building, boating, amatuer/ham radio, amatuer forestry and host of other more minor activities. He spent 10 years in outdoor education teaching snowboarding, obtaining the American Association of Snowboard Instructor's highest certification level, Level 3, and a Freestyle Level 1 certification. During the summer, he can often be found on a mountain bike or on a lake. In the winter, he can often be found on or off resort on some sort of snowsports equipment. Professionally, he is an ABEM certified Emergency Medicine physician, with professional interests in ultrasound and Cardiopulmonary disease, carrying a Testamur status in Critical Care Echocardiography from the American Board of Echocardiography.
