Eric Silva, MD, FACEP

Dr. Eric Silva is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who currently lives in Chester, NY. He completed his residency in EM at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx, NY and worked in several community Emergency rooms before retiring from clinical practice in May of 2023. He is currently on the faculty at Touro University Medical School, teaching 1st and 2nd year medical students. He is happiest when playing outdoors regardless of the season. Trail running, hiking, kayaking and skiing top his list of favorites. An avid skier, Dr Silva has been actively involved with the National Ski Patrol for 30 years. He has served as a member of the National Medical Committee for the past 10 years. He is currently working on his FAWM and is active in teaching Wilderness Medicine. He connected with Wild Med Adventures when he took our Advanced Wilderness Life Support class in the Adirondacks in 2022. He has since joined us as a faculty member on a number of outings, most recently Mount Kilimanjaro 2024. We are happy to have Eric as part of our crew, sharing his clinical and outdoor experiences.
