BEN OSBORNE, MD
Ben grew up in Northern California and went to college in San Diego. He followed this with medical school in Boston and his residency in emergency medicine in western Massachusetts. Following this, he served in the Air Force for 4 years before returning to the private sector to teach. Ben is a recovering academic emergency physician. After a career of 25 years in academic medicine and leading a residency, he chose to retire and now focuses on international disaster aid. In the last few years, he has gone to numerous destinations including Mongolia, Guatemala, Ukraine, and Malawi. When he is not working, Ben is working on his golf game, cooking or fishing. He was never heavily exposed to the outdoors early in his life other than the occasional camping or hiking trips, but we are so glad he joined a Wild Med Trip and developed a passion for fly fishing and now enjoys doing it every chance he can. He has led several of our Wild Med fishing trips including our Montana, Utah, and the Amazon Trips.
