Alana Hawley, MD, FRCPC-EM, FAWM, DiMM

Dr. Alana Hawley is an Emergency Medicine physician in BC, Canada.  She graduated from the Wilderness Medicine fellowship program at the University of Utah in 2017 and has completed the DiMM and FAWM. She is now serving on the FAWM committee. Alana is also the Past President of the Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine (CAWM) and was on the CAWM Board of Directors from 2020-2025 and Conference Chair from 2020-2023. She is also the medical advisor for Penticton Search and Rescue and volunteers with ski patrol. Alana is a researcher with several published papers and an instructor for wilderness medicine courses all over the world.  In her spare time she enjoys rock climbing, skiing, mountaineering, mountain biking, and diving.
