Join our 4 Night Wellness Retreat in the heart of the Bluegrass just outside Lexington in Richmond, KY. Enjoy the beauty and charm of the horse farms of Kentucky. Earn 12 hour of CME while also enjoying the outdoor heated pool, private lodging, small group discussions, private in house bourbon tasting with master distiller, bourbon trail tour, and a day at Keeneland Horse Track - all included. THE  TEAM / FACULTY:

  • The travel logistics and leadership will be provided by extremely experienced guides from Wild Med Adventures.

  • The Wild Med Adventures Team are all well traveled and experienced and promise to make your CME experience both educational and informative, but please note that we are only responsible for the educational aspect of this trip.   • Oct. 5th: Arrive Lexington Airport / Transfer to Private Lodging (Anytime after 4pm) (D)

    • Dinner & Introductions

  • Oct. 6th: Day at the RaceTrack - Keeneland (BLD)

    • Lectures in am before departure and pm

    • Catered Tailgating Party !!

  • Oct. 7th: Games / Lectures / Private Bourbon Tasting with Master Distiller ( (BLD)

  • Oct. 8th: Lectures / Bourbon Trail Tour / Games (BLD) 

    • Bourbon Trail with stops at various distilleries: Buffalo Trace / Castle & Key / Woodford Reserve (Distilleries may change based on availability)

    • Final Meal @ Lodge (w/ Live Music)

  • Oct. 9th: Breakfast and Departure

  • (Keeneland and Bourbon Tour Days may change slightly depending on time of the year and opening days)

MEDICAL INSURANCE / TRAVEL INSURANCE:

  • Delegates should have personal insurance to cover any in-country medical examinations, treatment or rescue/evacuation as with any travel and we recommend travel insurance in case you become ill or can’t attend for various reasons.

FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE 90 DAYS PRIOR TO START OF COURSE

IF YOU CANCEL 120 DAYS BEFORE COURSE YOU WILL GET FULL REIMBURSEMENT MINUS THE DEPOSIT

If you cancel LESS THAN 120 days prior to course but more than 90 days, you will be reimbursed 50% of Total Course Cost

Cancellation less than 90 days prior to course, there will be no reimbursement

MAIN EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

  • The goal of the Wellness & Leadership Retreat CME Conference is to provide participants with a unique environment to experience and share topics and learn skills to prevent depression, work burn-out, and create a more meaningful workplace.

  • Development of this CME curriculum is formed by the following key objectives:

    • Provide educational opportunities based on core curriculum of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.

    • Provide education of value to providers who care for the medical needs and also those involved with coordination of various patients and backgrounds.

    • Provide education of interest to all medical providers with various back-grounds

    • After attending this conference, the participants will be able to:

      • Establish a set of guidelines to help deal with difficulties and stress of the work-place

      • Improve relationships within your hospital system and become a stronger leader

      • Learn skills to improve work burn-out and learn how to reach out for help

      • Understand how to recognize and help a colleague who may be struggling
