Brian hagan, MD

Brian Hagan, MD works nights as an Emergency Medicine physician in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts and has spent the majority of his life living in New England.  Previous work experience included boat repair, carpentry, and commercial fishing.  His primary work interests include trauma and resuscitation, as well as bedside clinical education.  Dr. Hagan trained in Emergency Medicine under Dr. Mattingly, who became an inspiring mentor and friend.  His desire to work in Wilderness Medicine came from the combined desire to work in austere environments with limited resources, and for adventure travel (in an effort to get his kids outside).   When not working in the ED or planning his next adventure, he can be found spending time with his kids and amazing wife or getting choked on the jiu-jitsu mats. Dr. Hagan is working towards his FAWM (Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine), is an Advanced Wilderness Life Support Instructor, and will co-lead our upcoming Kilimanjaro CME Expedition.
