benjamin woodard, MSN, NP-C
Benjamin is a board certified family nurse practitioner who hopes to contribute to ecological preservation, research, and activism by providing medical care to those leading these efforts in austere environments. During graduate school, Benjamin enjoyed the challenge of merging the skills of a full scope family practitioner with those of the first responder and has since practiced almost exclusively in rural settings. Ben is AWLS certified, has done wilderness medicine training through NOLS, is a Member of the Wilderness Medicine Society, and is nearing completion of his candidacy for a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM). Ben has a passion for teaching family practice and urgent care to new clinicians, serves as a clinical instructor for various NP programs, and loves using team strategies to teach wilderness medicine. He is an avid climber, enjoying sport, big wall trad, and alpine climbing throughout the US. He looks forward to scaling higher more diverse peaks internationally, while specializing in climbing and mountain medicine, and hopes to keep time for whitewater kayaking in New England.
