Dr. Erica Ogle was raised in Kansas on almost 200 acres of land which likely set the stage for her future in Wilderness Medicine.

In college she ran competitively in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field where she was team captain, NCAA Academic All-American, and NCAA division II national qualifier in Steeplechase.

She then moved to Colorado for 4 years during medical school where she tried to spend as much time skiing as she did studying. She went on to complete an emergency medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA where she is currently completing a fellowship in Wilderness Medicine.

Traveling has always been her passion, and led her to discover the wonderful career of Wilderness Medicine. In addition, she has traveled in over 25 countries. Dr. Ogle's mountaineering and climbing experiences include skiing and climbing multiple peaks in Colorado, Concepción 2nd highest peak in Nicaragua, Everest Base Camp Trek with summit of Kala Patthar and most recently summiting Mt Elbrus in Russia on a Mountain Medicine CME course with Wild Med Adventures.

Her interests include mountaineering, ski and avalanche safety, dive medicine, rock climbing, yoga, running, ping pong, sunshine and microbrews.  Being able to merge her professional career with her passion of adventure and wilderness medicine is her ultimate dream come true. From her own words, "I have one of the best jobs in the world and now I have the opportunity to share that with others". Dr. Ogle plans to complete her fellowship in July 2017 and continue her passion teaching for Wild Med Adventures.
