Dr Christopher Rynn is a travel medicine advisor based in Perth, Australia. Originally trained as a procedural GP and working in north-western Australia, his love of travelling has seen him explore six continents. He has undertaken postgraduate training in aviation medicine, diving medicine, tropical medicine and travel medicine. He is currently a fellowship candidate with the Academy of Wilderness Medicine in the USA. Christopher has participated in expedition and wilderness medicine training courses in the US, Namibia, Costa Rica, Antarctica, Argentina and New Zealand. He has summited several high altitude mountains including the highest in the Americas's: Aconcagua 6962 M and highest in Europe: Mt. Elbrus. 5642 M. He has a particular affection for jungle and mountain environments. Christopher also continues to work in general practice and emergency medicine.
